Minimal is a London based technology company building a new way to move goods through cities. Intelligent, autonomous vehicles and the software that runs them, all built by our small and agile team.
Everything happens in our West London micro-factory, where we assemble vehicles, develop software and build new tooling all at once. Nothing here is off limits. If you have an idea, a solution or a better way of working, build it. You’ll be working alongside people with a passion for what we’re building and have genuine enjoyment in the process of building it.
Every vehicle we've put on the road was built in west London by us. Sub assemblies, frames, drivetrains, final assembly and test, all of it in one microfactory, designed by us. We're building the team that scales the production run. We need a build engineer to help define how we scale manufacturing, develop processes, implement solutions for the vehicles and the factory, fasttrack concepts and prototypes.
What you'll do
- Support the line and production staff in anyway possible
- Design and test tooling for components and assemblies
- Create and maintain work instructions, whilst developing tools to automate
- Build prototype vehicles and components for concept validation
- Implement cutting edge new technologies and systems into the factory, from concept to lights off operation
- Manage day to day issue raising, investigation, and resolution. Working hand in hand with mechanical, electrical, and embedded teams
- Support offsite activities such as supplier visits, shows/marketing events, service
What you'll bring
- Hands-on mechanical assembly experience with vehicles, bikes, machinery or similar
- Experience designing and drafting components and tooling
- Machining and Fabrication skills
- Problem solving skills, Swift and thorough implementation of processes and improvements
- The drive to continuously interrogate how we do things, iterate and improve
- Background in a manufacturing environment, experienced with ERP, MES, and QMS Software
Nice to have (any of these)
